These high school sweethearts, with a beautiful Pacific Islands heritage, celebrated their love with a stunning intimate wedding at Glasshouse Morningside in Auckland, surrounded by 70 of their closest family and friends. So beautiful.
From the start, Olivia had a clear vision for her wedding, carefully curating much of the styling herself. As her wedding planner and on-the-day coordinator, Wedding She Wrote was honoured to bring that vision to life—ensuring every detail was seamless, managing logistics, and working with a talented team to deliver an unforgettable luxury wedding experience.
There were so many memorable moments, but two stood out. After their romantic first dance, Olivia & Tyler invited their parents onto the dance floor for a touching Bride & Father of the Bride and Groom & Mother of the Groom dance, a heartfelt tribute to their families. Later, Olivia mesmerised everyone with her taualuga, a traditional Samoan dance performed by the daughter of a chief. It was one of the most graceful and moving taualugas we have ever seen—a breathtaking celebration of humble culture, love, and joy that left guests in awe. Get a wedding planner for sure. Everything you are stressing about could definitely be dealt with by having additional support from experienced people.

What would you tell them?
My experience was amazing. I needed someone who understood what I wanted and how I wanted to execute them. I am very independent so hiring a wedding planner was out of my comfort zone, but I knew it was needed because of all the stress that comes with planning a wedding. Even one as small as mine. Every bit of advice and support helps. One that stands by you and supports every decision is the best thing to have and Teuila did just that for me.

It was venue coordination, communication with vendors and finding the 'right' ones to fit our strict budget.
What did you gain by having a Wedding Planner?
I gained an extra support person that I needed from the start and wish I had hired her from the beginning prior to selecting any vendors, venue, etc

I had my dream wedding. Paid for my amazing husband who wanted nothing more than for me to be happy on a day I have waited for my whole life. He made sure I had whatever I needed including a Wedding Planner. Teuila was my go-to for everything. When I doubted my work, vendor selection, she offered suggestions, support and most importantly, a listening ear as to why I wanted things done in a certain way. Granted, a lot of people would not invest in a wedding planner because of the costs but as someone who is organized and needs things written out, done at a particular time, in a particular way, my wedding planner did that for me and more.
